DECLUTTERING & ORGANISING SERVICES

What happens during the consultation call?

During the free 15-minute call, I will ask questions surrounding your lifestyle and routine around the house, so I can ascertain the best organisational solutions for your needs. This would be preferable to do via video call, or you can send photos of the room/s in question so I can give an approximate estimate of the hours required for the job. If you are happy with the call, I will then send you a confirmation letter.

How long would it take to declutter and organise a room?

On average, a room would take between 4 and 6 hours. This is dependent on the amount of belongings to sort through, and if there is sufficient storage space already in place or not.

Which regional areas do you cover?

We cover Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, and North London.

Do you deal with hoarding?

No, we are not specialised in dealing with clients with hoarding disorders.

Do you offer online services?

Yes, I do. Click here to see the Online Process and T&C.

Do I have to buy storage containers/boxes or other storage accessories?

I do not advise you to do so, as our aim is to use what you already have. If needed, I will advise you of the most suitable products to buy. I also normally carry some accessories which can be used as samples.

Do I need to be with you when you are working?

Yes, you do, but you do not need to constantly be with Concetta if you need to complete some tasks/work. However, decluttering and organising is a process which involves completely freeing the cluttered space and organising it accordingly. Your decisions are also crucial in this process to get it right for you.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I have liability insurance which covers my injuries and any accidental damage to your household.

PRICING

How much does it cost to have a room decluttered and organised?

Normally between £200 and £300, which equates to approximately 4-6 hours of work. If you have a large project, I can propose a project estimate that is not based on our hourly rate.

Do I have to pay before you start the job?

You will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of £50, which will subsequently be deducted from your invoice.

When do I pay for the service?

I will send you an invoice via email to be paid after receipt.

Do I pay for your travelling?

Travelling time is not charged for. A 15-mile radius is included in my hourly or project rate. Any additional mileage will then be charged at 0.45p per mile. Concetta generally will not travel more than 60 miles away. However, emergencies or special cases will be considered.

What happens if you break something?

The cost will be covered by our insurance.

HOME & BELONGINGS

Are you going to take pictures of the room?

Concetta will always confirm the client’s permission and approval to take pictures for two main reasons. Firstly, it is important to show you the difference I will have made after the service. It’s quite easy to forget how a space was after some changes! Also, it would help me to showcase your project on my website gallery. This would be done anonymously and by removing any personal elements and location.

How can I remember what you suggested I do?

Concetta will produce a task log sheet to record tasks done during the session and to do after in your own time. This log sheet will be sent to the you at the end of each session to keep track of the work that is completed or still to be done. It will also include tips and recommendations and shoppable links to purchase storage accessories.

What do I do if my family is not keen on following the new “rules”?

After our decluttering and organising service, you should start functioning in a different way around the house and will consciously consider my recommendations in order to avoid a relapse of clutter! As with all processes, it takes time to adjust or create new habits. You need to be patient with yourself and other members of your family. Often, they see the value of having a functional and efficient household, and the systemised organisation should help them to follow the “rules”.

Is there a risk that you might dispose of objects which are important to me?

Concetta will never dispose of objects without your permission. Every object is categorised and labelled before disposal is agreed upon.

What happens if you don’t finish the work in your session?

If a job takes longer than estimated, Concetta will be able to inform you in advance. At that point, we will assess the tasks and agree on whether to add more hours to my service or instead for you to continue alone by following my instructions and recommendations indicated in the task log sheet if that is preferable.

Do I have to dispose of objects myself?

Concetta will offer to take unwanted items to local charity shops, providing they are not significantly large, heavy objects.

Can you sell objects for me?

No, unfortunately, I do not provide a selling service, but I can recommend agencies or professionals who do.

Can you do DIY jobs?

Concetta can help with small DIY tasks if they are needed to complete the service. I can offer to hang pictures, replace light bulbs, cut small pieces of wood, and assemble small pieces of furniture.
